What Donations Achieve:
Your support directly helps remove barriers and creates meaningful opportunities for young athletes. Donations at different levels contribute in the following ways:
Entry-level contributions help provide essential equipment, basic gear, and day-to-day training supplies so every participant can take the field safely and confidently.
Mid-level support goes toward structured training, coaching resources, and access to regular practice sessions that help athletes build skills, discipline, and teamwork.
Higher-level contributions support comprehensive development, including program operations, team logistics, facility access, and extended training opportunities throughout the season.
Major donations make long-term impact possible by strengthening the program as a whole—supporting mentorship initiatives, program expansion, and sustainable access for youth who may otherwise be unable to participate.
Every donation, regardless of size, plays a role in strengthening the program and helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.
In-kind contributions play an important role in supporting our programs. Donated equipment, professional services, and other non-monetary support help reduce operational costs and ensure resources are directed where they are needed most.
We welcome donations such as gently used or new equipment, apparel, training supplies, facility access, professional services, and other items that align with our mission. All in-kind donations are reviewed to ensure they meet current program needs and safety standards.
We partner with businesses that share a commitment to community development and youth impact. Corporate sponsorships provide an opportunity for organizations to support meaningful programs while gaining brand visibility and community recognition.
Sponsorships may include program support, event partnerships, team or initiative sponsorships, or in-kind contributions. We work collaboratively with each partner to create a sponsorship arrangement that aligns with both community goals and business values.
Volunteers are essential to the success of our programs. We welcome individuals who are passionate about making a difference and are willing to contribute their time and skills.
Opportunities may include coaching support, mentoring, event organization, administrative assistance, or other program-related roles. Volunteers receive guidance and support to ensure a positive and rewarding experience while making a meaningful impact.
The child must come from a family with a household income at or below the Low-Income Cut-Off (LICO) as defined annually by Statistics Canada, adjusted for family size and regional factors.
Priority will be given to:
El Jogo Bonito Foundation's primary charitable purpose is to relieve poverty among underprivileged children and youth in Calgary by removing financial barriers to participation in sports. While we do not directly operate educational or mentorship programs, we provide targeted funding to enable access to these services through partnerships with qualified community organizations.
The El Jogo Bonito Foundation does not operate its own sports programs. Instead, we collaborate with pre-qualified community sports clubs in Calgary to provide access to organized sports for children from low-income families. These clubs are not agents or affiliates of the foundation but independent third-party service providers who agree to deliver sport participation opportunities in accordance with our charitable mandate.
Each sports club that receives support will enter into a written agreement with El Jogo Bonito Foundation outlining the following:
